Thoughts on keto diets? Or higher far lower carb diets? I am currently doing a workout program that the nutrition part changed into a more keto phase for last 5 days so I am curious, exited, and nervous to see how it goes! Any thoughts on these types of diets?
There is no one size fits all approach to dieting or bulking or maintaining. It depends on how you react to it.
For most people they respond very well to higher carb diets because our body runs off glucose for energy. Many people avoid carbs like the plaque because it gets a bad wrap. When in reality carbs are more protein sparing once protein and fat minimums are met.
Carbs are also beneficial for MPS (muscle protein synthesis) more then fat is as an energy source.
Carbs also have a better effect on fatloss in a dieting phase to raise t3, leptin, and hormone levels to combat plateaus and roadblocks when you start to stall.

Experience may be hit or miss for many individuals. They may experience large crashes and horrible mood swings on a keto based type diet. Listen to how your body feels, how your performance is, and adjust based off what you personally find.
