Cellucor/ON/Allmax/BSN Failed when Tested for BCAA Content in Protein.
For those unaware...
None of the products were even close to their claimed level of BCAAs…
COR-Performance Whey Cellucor 24 Hour Stack
Wow, great post. That difference in claimed vs actual in GNC is crazy.
I'm not too great at reading dense scientific stuff, but looking through the comments it seems more than a few people have pointed out some potentially serious flaws in the study. @TheSolution what do you think about the suggestions that the study (which apparently uses an experimental new way of measuring amino acid levels previously not done) is flawed? Have you read some of the comments in the thread? Do you think they're valid?
@arctos Look at the study NOT ONE of the samples seem to have been measured by comparison against HPLC analysis, which is the current gold standard of protein testing. Therefore, despite the author’s attempt to utilize a novel assay and method for measuring BCAA content, any conclusions drawn from the data without a head-to-head comparison with HPLC are simply unreliable. Top grade protein products are analyzed by HPLC and consistently meet the BCAA content listed on our labels, which has been tested and verified by two of the most reputable laboratories in the country."
Until the final text and study and 3rd party tests are done on this specific document there is not enough validity to prove its claims
