Working 12 hour night shifts three days a week
Someone help me with trying to get my eating back on track. I've been eating less meals since I've started my new job, I work three days a week but 12 hour shifts. I meal prep but I only get about 3 meals max a day.
Thats fine... Total calories it the major factor here. Weather its 3 meals or 6 meals that is a personal preference. Science actually favors a lower meal frequency to help with greater Muscle protein Synthesis.
If you were really set on getting a 4th meal in just take a protein bar or protein shake with you to help stimulate MPS and get an adequate leucine threshold at a meal. Your best bet would be to eat before going in .. your lunch, a quick snack, and eating when you get home to get 4 meals in on those 12 hour days.
